Back In Business

Saturday
September 20, 2003

I'm back in business -- the computer problems I had are now gone, as I've replaced my dying, 3+ year old hard drive with a brand new, 120 gig unit. That's some sweet action. It's been a royal pain in the ass getting the files transfered over (since the computer only recognizes my old hard drive in DOS mode). Special thanks to Dave and Tom and Pat at DigiQuest for everything they did to help me with it.

In other good news, Google AdSense has finally accepted me for membership into its program. I launched a new website, EphedrineInfo.com, which apparently is targeted enough to pique Google's interest. This is very exciting for me, as finally I can start turning some revenue from my websites. I'm not sure if I'll be able to put it on LouPickney.com, since they don't normally allow personal webpages to carry ads. But if the Washington Times' editorial page can, then I figure so can I. So we'll see...

Final Score: Tennessee 24, Florida 10. Now that's what I'm talking about. All you Gators fans out there can stick it. That UT defense looked very, very impressive today. And almost as good was Marshall's upset win at Kansas State. Way to go Thundering Herd!

The Macho Man concert in Treasure Island on Wednesday night was unintentional comedy at its highest level. 50-something Randy Savage up on stage trying to lip-synch to his music... only for the CD to start skipping after the third song. Ouch! And thanks to all of the crazy Bubba Army crew that came out, showed their support for Bubba The Love Sponge and heckled the hell out of Randy.

I feel pretty damn tired right now, and it's just 7:35 on Saturday night. Perhaps more than 5 hours of sleep last night would've been a good idea. My friend James is supposed to be coming by here in a bit, so I suppose I'll get ready. Saturday night in Tampa is always an adventure, exhausted or not...
