New Drive Time

Wednesday
September 17, 2003

First off, major thanks to my friends and co-workers here at DigiQuest who've been helping me through my computer nightmare. The latest attempt at a solution will involve the purchase of a new hard drive and the subsequent attempt to clone the info from my current hard drive onto the new one. There are a number of bad sectors on the current drive, and it appears to be on its last legs. But, the upside is that I'll be able to put in a brand new (and much larger) drive with the new system.

Not having the internet/computer available at home has been driving me crazy. It's brutal. I was writing to Shauna about this the other day about how much of a wakeup call it was to me as to how I get my information and communicate with others.

Speaking of problems, the power steering belt on my Neon broke on my drive home from work yesterday. So that meant I had to be out at Jerry Ulm Dodge (not to be confused with Jerry Ulllll) at 7 this morning. Two hours later, it was fixed. But, hey, at least I can drive now without having to hulk up to turn the wheel. Hats off to those of you who drove in the pre-power steering days. It's not all that easy, especially on a car designed to have it.

The Bubba The Love Sponge show lost its Hartford affiliate on Monday, as WMRQ flipped from modern rock to R&B. I thought Ft. Myers was bad, but this has lead to me being inundated with e-mails from despondate/angry/confused listeners wanting answers. All I can say for now is to buy an XM Satellite Radio. Hopefully we'll have webstreaming set up on the forthcoming VIP website here in the near future.

"Macho Man" Randy Savage is performing in concert tonight at Mr. B's in Treasure Island, Florida. All I can say is that it should be a very, very interesting evening. I can't wait...
