The Florida Rain

Monday
September 4, 2006

This new tradition of Florida State and Miami playing on the evening of Labor Day is pretty nice, in my opinion. Two traditional powerhouses capping off a nice weekend of action... good times.

It's raining in Miami right now. No surprise there, given that it's still summertime. Better rain than a hurricane hitting, no?

What are the odds of Illinois recapturing Illibuck from Ohio State during the Ron Zook era?

My apartment has a problem with ants. It's quite annoying; I might be a bit messy as far as things laying out, but I'm very careful with not leaving food sitting out. Nonetheless, the tiny ants that seem to proliferate this area keep trying to get into my apartment. I found them yesterday crawling along my bathtub, which was bizarre. It's almost as if you could see the line where Cook's Pest Control had sprayed, which at least is keeping them from making a trek into my bedroom. For now. Still, I'm confused as to how they're even making it in here.

For being such a big-money site, you'd think that NewsCorp could get it together with MySpace. That site is buggy as hell, with load time problems galore and intermittent outages that periodically plague its service. It's ubiquity is its selling point, though it would be nice if the site would function properly.
