This is a tight turnaround week. I arrived from Nashville on Sunday night; tomorrow night I head back to Nashville; from there it's less than two days and back down I-65... to then have guests at my apartment this weekend, as Mississippi State is playing UAB and people (well, at least my brother) will be coming to down for it. As is the norm, my apartment is a mess. Some parts are still cleaned up from when Melissa '05 decided to play maid for me when she was here, but that's been awhile and I find new ways to occupy the space on the floor.
Deal or No Deal benefited greatly from its summer hiatus. In a non-burned out situation, it was pretty captivating on Monday night, even with NFL football as competition on ESPN. Naturally, NBC will run it into the ground between now and May, but such is life in network television.
This funny YouTube clip was brought to my attention on wvradio.net... this guy is spot-on with his pantomiming.
I can't hear the Natalie Imbruglia song (Torn) in that video without thinking of late summer 1997. The phenomenon of music conjuring up thoughts of a certain era is fascinating to me. There's something magical about it.
The addiction known as The Sims 2 has resunk its claws into me. It's amazingly fun to play still after two years. Much like Deal or No Deal, I need my breaks from it, but when I come back for another round it holds up time and time again...
