Halloween Homecoming
Friday
October 31, 2003
Happy Halloween everyone. For those of you going trick-or-treating, here's hoping that you get some nice candy. Big bars too, none of that "fun sized" stuff. I recommended to Bubba The Love Sponge that he give out King Size bars at his house tonight. That would be cool.

Tonight's the night for the Father Ryan High School 2003 Homecoming Game, with Baylor taking on the Fighting Irish at Vanderbilt Stadium. It pains me that FRHS doesn't get to play all of their home games at Vandy anymore (due to a policy change by Vanderbilt), but at least they get to have at least one there per year. And this is that game. Times are tough for Ryan's football team, but I'm most excited about seeing my sister perform in the marching band and in the possibility of seeing some of my Class of '95 friends there in the crowd. Wonder how many of them will recognize me with the shaved head and all?
As I type this, I'm listening to the new
104.5 The Zone (a station that I'd love to get Bubba on in 2004). Even on my vacation days, I'm doing some work-related things. Plus I'm super-excited about the fact that BubbaArmy.com launches tonight at midnight. The anticipation is killing me.
Richard Karg called me a few minutes ago and gave me the scoop on this Halloween party going on tonight. Perhaps Matt and I will be able to make it out there for it, time depending. I'm not sure if Mom will need me to help in any of the planning of the big 60th Wedding Anniversary celebration for Granddaddy and Grandmama tomorrow late tonight, but I think I should be able to make it across town for a party without too much trouble. Also, my friend Richard Bachschmidt from WTN invited me to meet up with him some of his friends on the downtown bar scene tonight, so we might check that out as well.
It's a real shame that the Tennessee Titans have a bye week this week. It would've been a perfect chance to go see a game on Sunday...
