Halloween Bar

Thursday
November 1, 2007

Wow, was that last article I wrote on here from a deep, dark place or what? Sometimes I get like that, especially low on sleep and after a few drinks. It's true, every bit of it, but it's not the sort of thing I typically generate. Perhaps it's the whole trying to stay positive and upbeat thing, I dunno. But, as I once told my friend Scott Massey, "That was a shoot!"

Last night was a blast at Stampede, a college bar in Murfreesboro; the home of MTSU, it's about a 20 minute drive from Smyrna, which is located more or less in-between The Boro and Nashville.

Halloween 2007
This was the scene from last night at Stampede.

Because I'm often subjected to last minute ideas being sprung on me (the nature of the beast with my living quarters), I yet again didn't have a costume, much like I didn't on Saturday night. Next time around I'm going to have a costume ready on standby.

In line outside of Stampede, there were plenty of hot chicks to be seen. It was a preview of things to come. I was raving to Matt (who dressed up as Brian Urlacher, complete with shoulder pads, jersey, and football pants) about how much I like girls in Halloween costumes. "That's because they all dress like sluts!" bemoaned the young chick in front of us in line outside dressed up as Leonardo from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I agreed, saying that was part of the fun.

Not everyone was in costume, so I wasn't totally left out, but it would have helped me to bring more to the table with a gimmick. But whatever, there were plenty of gorgeous women wearing revealing, sexy outfits. Halloween, as an adult holiday, is vastly underrated.
