"And tell me you love me, come back and haunt me
Oh and I rush to the start
Running in circles, chasing tails
Coming back as we are..."
-Coldplay "The Scientist"

We may be close to turning the corner with getting the Bubba the Love Sponge show signed on in some new markets. Given his success in limited syndication, the hope is that we'll get more chances to prove ourselves. When that happens (and I'm convinced he will succeed... his show is just that good), then the floodgates will (hopefully) really open up. When I can go into specifics on here about the wheres and whens, I will.

I tried out some cheat codes on Grand Theft Auto III that I'd never tried out before last night... like the flying car code, the tank dropping from the sky code, etc. Added a whole new dimension to things, to be sure.

The new Matrix movie opens this week. I'd wanted to go up to Atlanta to see it with my friend Tali, who's in town there for a business trip, but there's just no way I'm going to be able to pull it off. Which is too bad, cause it would've been a fun time. The original Matrix is one of my all-time favorites; we'll see if the second film in the series can live up to the hype.

My Toshiba VCR is about dead. I paid in the neighborhood of $300 for it in 1997, and it's held up pretty well until now. It did die on me once, but it was under warranty via Best Buy so I was able to get it fixed. Unfortunately, tonight it decided to eat two of my tapes. Combine that with some of the recording issues it's had, and the fact that the remote control for it is nowhere to be found (it disappeared when I spent a semester at Harlaxton College in 1998), and it might be time to look for a new one. I have a second VCR, but it's a cheapskate special I bought in Evansville four years ago to dub TV news airchecks (which helped me get to Huntington and then eventually Tampa).

I tried watching WWE Monday Night Raw tonight. But, man, it was difficult. HHH vs. Kevin Nash isn't exactly a feud that inspires me to order a PPV (which they're headlining on Sunday), let alone sit through a free TV show. Ugh.

Did any of you see the "Behind the Camera" docudrama about Three's Company on NBC tonight? I wasn't particularly impressed. It was an interesting concept, but the directing left quite a bit to be desired (and don't get me started about the acting and some of the lines).

Luckily, there was an NBA game on TNT tonight. The Nets beat the Celtics in double OT, bouncing Boston from the playoffs in 4 straight. It's the first time Boston has ever been swept in a four-game series...

The "Thunderstick" that I kept from the Lightning playoff game I went to last month is surprisingly still inflated. I figured it would be like a balloon, deflating within a couple of days. But it seems to be holding up just fine, sitting at the moment on top of my bookshelf.

Here's hoping that New York Yankees pitcher Roger Clemens gets a chance to go for win #300 in Boston later this month. That would be pretty dramatic...
