Word Games

Wednesday
March 24, 2004

So there I was this morning playing Book Worm, which is one of those fun little online word games, when the "bonus word" that came up caught me by surprise... and then made me laugh out loud. Of course, I took the liberty of snapping a screenshot and sharing it with you on here (I'm generous like that). The bonus word appears in green in the bottom left-hand corner underneath the Book Worm, the green creature in the red bowtie...

It's like something off a twisted episode of Super Password. All we need is the whispering voice going: "The password is anal." Good times.

I haven't given it the proper due it deserves, but the new season of The Sopranos is off to a tremendous start. Less marital drama, more mafia clashing. Now that's what I'm talking about. Add in Steve Buscemi's character, Tony Blundetto (which is a break from the norm on the show in his behavior), and you have a can't miss show on Sunday night on HBO. If you have HBO and you're not watching... then you are wasting your subscription money. There's no better show on TV than The Sopranos. None.

Survivor tonight is going to be one of those stupid recap shows, yet I know I'll end up watching it. They stretch the season out as much as they can, particularly with the Thursday night timeslot bumped again this week for NCAA basketball.

Maybe it's just me, but I really really want to see a St. Joseph's/Oklahoma State game in the Elite 8. With all due respect to Wake Forest (which squeaked by a pair of double-digit seeded teams in the first two rounds), I really want to see St. Joe's clobber them. Then again, I'm a mid-major supporter from way back in the day (go Evansville Aces).
