Camera Shy

Here's a big thumbs-down to Shephard's out in Clearwater last night for threatening to confiscate cameras for people taking pictures. Ballbusting pricks. And moreover, a thumbs-down to the city in general for doing its best to be ball-busters toward the very people who traveled here on their own dime to spend their hard-earned money in Clearwater (which, in turn, helps PAY FOR THINGS). Maybe if this state would have a more laissez-faire attitude about freedom, we wouldn't lose tourism dollars to places like Cancun or New Orleans.

Some notes from the world of TV:
-Survivor last night was another great episode. This All-Star season has been tremendous. Because it hasn't required the character development of past seasons, and moreover because past losers have realized that being "nice" won't get you anything, it's becoming a most interesting plot. You have to wonder if Jerri will end up clawing out of the mud at the end, sneaking to the last like Mr. Pink in Reservoir Dogs. But I doubt it. I'm actually pulling for Boston Rob, maybe if only because him being there might lead to Amber getting semi-naked on camera. Though they teased for next week that they're going to split the tribes up again and put Rob and Amber on other sides.
-I've wanted to write for some time about Omarosa from NBC's The Apprentice (which, by the way, is an awesome show). She was the perfect example of someone with great presentation skills and articulation abilities who, at least from what was shown on TV, appeared to have little work ethic and weak business sense. When she was trying to sell the Trump Ice water was the best part -- she had this great presentation, sold the water well, and then came in with a ridiculously low amount (2 cases or whatever), completely undermining her partner, who was supposed to handle the business end. Her partner would correct her afterward, and Omarosa would promise to do better, but then she'd do the exact same thing again. Unintentional comedy through the roof.
-Some people (in particular Stacey Luckey at work) have been telling me about a show called Mad Madhouse on Sci-Fi. It's a fake reality show (though put on as if it were real), with bad acting and supposed haunted characters. Or something like that. To be fair, all I know of it is the clip I saw on Jimmy Kimmel Live last week. But it wasn't enough to make me watch...
-What if Channel 10 in Tampa decided to cover up NCAA Basketball with Dr. Phil at 4 PM?
-Speaking of NCAA Basketball, my brackets are already cracking. Though I'm in three pools, so it's kind of tough to keep it all straight. But in some I went all-in (like Charlotte over Texas Tech) and lost -- ditto for Southern Illinois over Alabama.
