The next few weeks will be very important at work. Time to do some follow-up on these interested stations and hopefully ink a few of them to deals. It's funny, but I think about this stuff during down time, during the weekends, hell all the time really. You have no idea how important is it to me to give the syndication effort every chance to work.
Meanwhile, I am wanting to book some trips. I'd like to get back to Nashville sometime, and I want to go visit my bro Matt at Mississippi State. Then there's NYC, which actually is a good bet thanks to the cheap ticket fares and direct flights available to and from Tampa. My friend Brook is moving from there to DC later this year, and I'd like to visit the city at least one more time before he moves. Then there's Las Vegas in August and maybe another trip to Huntington? And, of course, there's some unfinished business with regards to last years aborted California trip.
I just popped a Claritan. I'm a fan of it, quick allergy relief. Glad it's no longer a prescription deal. I had a prescription for Nasonex about five years ago, but never got it refilled after I came back from England.
At some point tonight I need to go work out. I've been a slacker the past few days. Though as I write this, "severe weather" is rolling through the Bay Area. Might wait for it to pass (though it's just a matter of driving a short distance to go to the Camden Ybor gym).
What's interesting with all of the talk of war is that really there's not that much anger between the U.S. and the people of Iraq. They're forced to suffer under the reign of a tyrant, having to bite their tongue less they and their family receive the most horrible of persecutions by the Iraqi government. I don't like the concept of "war with Iraq" as much as "war with Hussein". Force him (and his top staff) out by force, set up a system where the Iraqi people can rule themselves in peace, and I think everyone will be happy. We'll see.
If you like fantasy sports, then WhatIfSports.com is a site you should check out. I think I've written about it before, but
a column this week by ESPN Page 2 writer Bill Simmons reminded me again of just how fun it is. The 2000 Oakland Raiders are great on there, though inexplicably their kicker (Brett Conway) misses nearly every extra point.
The Duke/North Carolina game today was great. UNC all but assured themselves an NCAA tournament bid with the win (at least in my estimation). Clutch.
Time to catch up on Jimmy Kimmel Live... and find time for that workout a little later...
