Pieces Of The Puzzle

The promo packs are supposed to be ready tomorrow. As Bubba said, "That's the best news I've heard in a long time." Amen brother.
Carrie brought up an interesting phenomenon -- what's the deal with people who wear other team's jerseys to sporting events? Not the home team or even the visiting team, but like a team that's not even there. She noted how many people at the Tampa Bay Storm/Detroit Fury game on Sunday were wearing Bucs' jerseys. And she pointed out that it goes beyond that, like people who wear a New York Jets football jersey to an NBA game, that sort of thing. To take it one step further, I remember in Huntington that my friend Tara said that people should only wear jerseys to sporting events (as opposed to out to clubs).
Now, I must admit I've been guilty of all of the above (like wearing a Tennessee Titans jersey at the Knicks/Blazers game I went to at Madison Square Garden in New York City in January 2001). But really it is a pretty silly thing when you think about it, even when it is the team playing out on the field. As if I'm going to be called out of the stands at the Bucs game to play free safety or something. Please. But jerseys allow us guys to pretend that we're part of the team, or at the very least to show allegiance to it.
And sports jerseys on a chick? Hot. Very hot. Even when it's not a low-cut Wizards jersey (like on Mariah Carey at the 2003 NBA All-Star game halftime show).
I could be going to see Eminem in Detroit in July... More on that later...
