An Encouraging Letter

Wednesday
March 12, 2003

A little encouragement can go a long way. This morning at work I logged in and had an e-mail waiting from Kraig Kitchin. He's the president of Premiere Radio, which is the company that syndicates some of the biggest names in radio (from Rush Limbaugh to Jim Rome to Phil Hendrie to Rick Dees). We sent him one of our new promotional packages, and he was kind enough to send this note:

-----
Subject: March 7, 2003 letter
Date: Tue, 11 Mar 2003 21:14:48 -0800
From: "Kitchin, Kraig T."

I got a chance to review the materials you forwarded. They are nothing short of fantastic and make a great case for a potential affiliate to consider adding Bubba's program to a radio station.

Your letter was very kind; cool of you and your man to send it along to me.

I am well aware of the program and its' success. Being in the Morning Show Syndication business myself, I take great pride in seeing shows like the one you associate with succeed. Leave a little audience for us in those markets we compete in!!

You have a good story here and I will be cheering for you where it is competitively possible for me to do. Pass my regards to the host!

Best,

Kraig T.

Pretty cool if you ask me. Some of the guys from the show met Kraig out in California last year and said he was a nice guy, and this e-mail reinforces that to me. It's no wonder that he's risen to such a major level in the radio industry.

Sleep comes now... By the way, ESPN Classic was showing the 1988 Miami/Notre Dame football game on tonight. Wow, that was fun to see. The craziest part was Ricky Watters playing wide receiver for the Irish (instead of RB, his position in the NFL)...
