In playing on the internet this weekend, I ran across a very interesting article about the federal government vs. states rights and how it plays into the drinking age. It's from two years ago, but it's very well stated.
President Bill Clinton had an op-ed piece in the New York Daily News that I found interesting.

Clinton: "It's your money," says President Bush when he promotes tax cuts. I disagree with his tax policy but admire his spin.

Admire his spin? That's about as non-spin as it gets, in my estimation. The government takes less of your hard-earned money. End of story.
Finally, the Drudge Report has a very interesting article up tonight about the possibility that there will be a vaccine for melanoma available to the public within five years. Imagine if that happened... It would be a wonderful thing. One of the main reasons I usually stay out of the sun is the risk I run of getting skin cancer due to having very fair skin. To be free from that worry would be a tremendous benefit to me and millions of others...
