"When it's sink or swim
You've got to think to win..."
-Ice Cube "You Can Do It"

Looks like Gannett is cutting back on its USA Today Live segments. Though something tells me the bastards at WLTX in Columbia, SC will still manage to not be able to get out of their timeslot on time. Not that it's my problem anymore, but still...

Accord commercial
Here's a look at the British version of the Honda Accord.
Big thanks go out to my friend Nick Greco, who sent me a link to a fascinating British ad for the Honda Accord. You really owe it to yourself to check this out -- the ad is complicated, precise and ingenious. And supposedly it was all done in one take, albeit following more than 600 attempts that didn't work exactly right. You'll need Flash version 6 or higher to properly view the ad:

Last night's edition of the NBC show Last Comic Standing was interesting. The reality series concept has been done to death, but this one actually has some compelling elements to it. The winning comic's set was hilarious, and it sent the bald cowboy version of Jason Priestly (who he faced in a comedy showdown elimination) packing. The very funny Jay Mohr is the EP of the show, and his influence is clear in many portions of the program.

UHF's movie poster
Before Seinfeld, Michael Richards did an excellent acting job in UHF.

Speaking of comedy, I finally saw the movie UHF on one of the premium movies channels this evening. The plot is pretty suspect, but Michael Richards is hilarious in the film. He looks quite a bit different than his did in his Cosmo Kramer days on Seinfeld, but his hilarious manneurisms are all there.

It's a Green Iguana Wednesday night for me... Then tomorrow morning, Bubba The Love Sponge is giving away his final set of Diacos (making up for Ft. Myers #4, who had her spot taken due to her getting knocked up). If you don't have any idea what I'm talking about, listen to the Bubba The Love Sponge show online from 6-10 AM Eastern via fly927.com. As of this writing, you have to choose the video version (the audio only for some reason doesn't work for me). But with a broadband connection, you can listen to the show with ease (and most likely laugh your ass off). That is, unless you're the type of person who's easily offended. In that case, ignore this paragraph.

If you live in the Tampa area, I highly, highly recommend that you avoid the I-275/I-4 junction if at all possible. The traffic through there is even more brutal than before thanks to the (much needed) construction going on right now...
