Slice Of The Pie

Tuesday
July 27, 2004

If the business plan that I talked with Dustin Gremmels about yesterday can work even 25% as well as what it sounds like, things could turn out very, VERY well for me. I'm typically quite tentative about "too good to be true" situations, but man it sounds like Dustin has really struck gold with his idea. Look for more on this when I can tell more...

Thanks to Chris Slack (who I know from the Carligula.com message board) who sent me this really cool old school MS-DOS game called "Rockstar". It came out in 1989, but it's incredibly addictive and fun to play for a 15 year old shareware game. This page has a download for it if you want to get in on the fun. Granted, it has the quirkiness and odd behavior that you'd expect from late 80s shareware, but in a way that's part of the fun, too.

Former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar has signed with the Minnesota Vikings. It seems very strange to me that Lesnar left the pro wrestling business to give pro football a try, but if that's what he wanted to do, so be it. Odds are he'll be on the practice squad this year, and the real challenge will be making the team next year in the 2005 NFL Training Camp. We'll see how it plays out. If not, I suppose there's always NWA: TNA for him as a backup plan. I just want to see him hit an F-5 on an unsuspecting QB.
