My friend Ryan Priest posted this link on his webpage, and I found it to be very funny... I thought you'd all get a laugh out of it as well:

What a decision by Miami Dolphins RB Ricky Williams to abruptly retire from the NFL at the age of 27. Ricky has always been a bit of a head case, but this move really puts the Dolphins in a bind. If he intended to retire, then so be it... but to wait until a week out from training camp really put the Dolphins behind the 8-ball. Some might point to the Ewing Theory to say that Miami will somehow thrive as a result of this, but I don't see it. At all. Not with Travis Minor looking like the starting day RB for the Dolphins. Now if Miami had known about this before the draft and taken RB Steven Jackson in the first round, that would be different. But in this case, the Dolphins are screwed. And I for one love it for all those rude Dolphins fans out there. HAHAHAHA!

Over the weekend I met this amazing girl named Britt. She's 26 (like me), gorgeous, and most importantly she can actually hold an intelligent conversation. Unfortunately she lives in Gainesville, but it was great meeting someone like her with so many good qualities.

With the Democratic National Convention going on today, I have to ask: what's the point of having these things anymore? The bigwig politicians for the respective parties get up there and give speeches that are carefully screened for anything that might be remotely controversial. And moreover, the candidate for president is already a lock well before the convention, rendering the entire process as a made-for-TV farce...
