Bronchitis Diagnosis

Tuesday
January 6, 2004

I went to the doctor this morning and was diagnosed with acute bronchitis. As far as I know, this is my first go-around with this particular malady. In reading about it online, I've found that "severe cases may also cause general malaise and chest pain", both of which I have. Now I've suffered from worse, and the Pickney work ethic in me kept me going at DigiQuest (though with John Boogades and others strongly suggesting that I needed to go home, it had me rethinking things by the end of the day). I don't want to get others sick. But by the same token, I had some important work that needed to be done. As for tomorrow, I'm going to at least work for awhile at DigiQuest, at the very least to try and get the new affiliation possibility locked up and to get our new promotional postcards picked up (ordered from VistaPrint).

What has me most angry is that in my exhaustion I slept for 3 and a half hours tonight, entirely missing 24 and Line Of Fire. Line Of Fire is by far my favorite show on TV right now, and I hadn't missed a single episode until tonight. I really need to get TiVo.

Thanks to criticalmas.com for adding a link to my main page. I wouldn't have known this had it not been for a look through my logfile and who was linking here from where. It's great when people think enough of what you have to say to link to it from their particular corner of the web.

One thing that I did find interesting was one of the highest viewers of LouPickney.com so far in 2004 came from here:

tias-gw7.treas.gov

That's the U.S. Treasury Department. Perhaps it was just an employee there who stopped by one time to check out what I had to say (70+ pages worth in one visit), but when the Federal Government stops by to say hello, it's an attention getter. At least to me it is.

My cousin Donald Wolfe turned me on to the band moe., which is a "jam band" with a fun acoustic sound that might remind some of Widespread Panic (with perhaps less of a Grateful Dead/Phish influence). Gee, I wonder how many music fans I managed to piss off with that last sentence (since invariably some will disagree with that assessment). Anyway, moe. (complete with lower case name and the period at the end) is great, and there are some tracks you can download for free online that I recommend (especially Lost Along The Way). Click here for the goods on that.
