My Kind Of Weekend

If you even remotely like those AFLAC commercials (you know, with the duck that says "AFLAC!!!"), then you really need to check out the Japanese AFLAC duck commercials. The "Wedding" commercial is in particular hilarious. Click here for the link to the videos; it's fascinating to see the AFLAC duck gimmick mixed within the confines of a Japanese advertising campaign.
What a great weekend this was if you were a football fan. As I type this, the BCS Title game is on between Oklahoma and LSU. I'm cheering for the Tigers, as my spokesperson, Mr. Jägermeister, bet $20 on my behalf on Louisiana State against James Maynor on Saturday night.

Speaking of Saturday night, that was a fun time. A twinbill, if you will. Scott Massey came by, found out that Lakers vs. Mavericks is not a fair matchup in NBA Live 2003 (even with the adjusted rosters to reflect the current teams) and watched the Titans' thrilling win over the Ravens. He left, and then James came by... and the crazy drinking kicked into effect.
I did manage to introduce James to the ultra-addictive game known as Tiger Woods PGA Golf 2004 for the PS2. James loves golf, and his roommate up in Charleston, SC just bought a PS2. Uh oh, there goes James' free time...
We ended up hitting Czar, a club with a Russian theme (as if you couldn't have guessed that) that's where the old Pleasuredome used to be. James ordered up a crazy vodka shot that went something like this: take a lemon slice, and on it pour half sugar and half coffee grinds. Chew the lemon slice for about 30 seconds, then do the vodka shot and swallow it all at once. It had some Russian name to it, though the bartender chick had never heard of it before. It did the job, I must say...
From there it was on to Platforms and Prana... Good times, for sure.
I'll have much more to write on this later, but how about Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts? Hopefully that will silence the Manning critics once and for all. That was a dominating performance...
