Lost Returns

Wednesday
February 7, 2007

My favorite show on TV, Lost, returns tonight with a new episode, following a "recap" show the hour before. I fear that some people may see the recap show on and think that the new shows don't start until next week. Hopefully ABC will make it clear for everyone.

Lost
Lost is an outstanding television show.

At the suggestion of Velvet, one of the books I bought on Friday night was "The Stranger Beside Me" by Ann Rule. It's a fascinating look at the Ted Bundy story from a woman who worked with him at (of all places) an emergency help line in Washington state prior to the start of his multi-state killing spree. I'm about 3/4 of the way through it; while chilling, it's a compelling read.

Singer Keith Urban is suing a painter, also named Keith Urban, who owns the website keithurban.com. The suit alleges that the site misrepresents the painter as being the musician. Only problem: the site makes no such claim or representation.

Cybersquatting is one thing, but dual names that date back to before an individual gains worldwide fame is what I'd call tough luck. Note to Urban the singer: get out of rehab and cough up some cash to buy the site. Playing the Fame Card will only raise the ire of the general public.

Addendum: Here is a trailer for the forthcoming Lost mobile phone video game, by way of YouTube. Graphically it looks like a Nintendo game (as in the original NES), but it's a mobile phone game, not one for the PS3. There are some laugh out loud moments in the video game trailer, at least for people who know the show:
