"Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others."
-Thomas Jefferson
I suspect that there are many, many people out there who have views that fall into the Libertarian category... only they don't realize it. Perhaps that applies to you. I urge you to take a moment to read the Wikipedia entry on Libertarianism and see. My estimation is that politics is not best quantified a straight line (left, center, or right), but instead as a square as seen in the
Nolan Chart:
If you're tired of the economic freedom taken away from you by the "left" and the personal freedom taken away from you by the "right", know that there are more than two choices out there.
And in a semi-related note, here's some unobstructed action that we can all support. This would have never happened if that ABC show Emily's Reasons Why Not (which had promo material plastered all over NYC when I was in Manhattan in January 2006) had not been canceled. From the movie Gray Matters, here is maybe the best promotional clip ever released, with "Rollergirl" Heather Graham and Tom Brady castoff Bridget Moynahan:
As I heard in my sports broadcasting days: "Looks good -- is good!" Indeed.
