Last night was a good time. It's usually fun hanging out with Riley & Todd, and last night was no exception. We ended up at The Castle, which is this goth type club in Tampa. I'd only been there once before, but they hadn't seen it before, so we went. It has a good atmosphere in the old multi-level building there, though I'm not particularly into the whole goth scene. But it was a good time, there and then over at Market on 7th with the girls we met there (not goth chicks, and I never thought I'd pick up a girl at The Castle of all places, but it just goes to show that you never know, I guess).
Now playing: "The Calendar Hung Itself" by Bright Eyes. Has a sound that reminds me of The Cure... good tune.
Trying to plan out the weekend now is proving tricky. I've been invited to a party in Orlando tonight, then tomorrow is the all-day 97X Next Big Thing 2 concert. Of course, trying to plan out sleep and what not is proving rather tricky. But I'm sure things will work themselves out.
Heather in St. Pete just called me... turns out she was at the Cirque de Soleil show last night where the performer fell. This is like a Seinfeld episode... See, the girls Riley and I met at The Castle were supposed to go to a later Cirque de Soleil show, but they cancelled the late shows last night because of the accident. A trapeze of some sort broke, and a performer fell like 15 feet (from Heather's account) and was hurt (the performer is okay now though and out of the hospital). Crazy.
My Pokemon card auction on eBay is up to $10.50 with thirty minutes to go. I didn't think it would clear $5. But hey, I'll take it.
The next few weekends are going to be tough scheduling-wise. Tonight in Orlando, then back up to go to the 97X concert in Clearwater tomorrow, oh and try to sleep some in there too. Then next weekend Adam & Amanda from Orlando are coming down and we're going to see George Carlin perform in Clearwater on Saturday night. They're actually coming to town the night before, though. Might have a date that Friday night though, and oh yes on Sunday I'm going with my friend Gary and his crew from Orlando down to Miami for the Dolphins/Raiders game. Then the following weekend I'll have to be ready to head out not too long after work on Friday to go home for Christmas. Very hectic...
But, it's not like I didn't choose for them to be hectic. You make time for things, or else they'll pass you by. Of course, my bizarro work schedule throws an extra twist in there, but that's the way it goes.
I'm going to go watch Miami/V. Tech now. And let scheduling take care of itself.
