Not much time to type... Briefly, a few things:
-Bill Simmons of ESPN's Page 2 has a column up with Swingers quotes for the NFL season. It's interesting to see how he did it compared with my Swingers column about college football. Of course Bill's is wittier and has his usual brilliance and subtle hilarity. It's like my bro said about my column -- it's no Bill Simmons piece, but then again what else is?
-I have 140 reasons to be happy about Tampa Bay's win over Chicago last night. Plus maybe reasons of another nature with them having that home playoff game the weekend after next.
-Those NFL Playoff commercials with Don Cheadle are absolutely brilliant. The ladder illustrating how high Dwight Clark had to leap for "The Catch" is outstanding.
-Cleveland at Pittsburgh in the playoffs is good for the NFL. I can't wait for that. And seeing a night playoff game in Green Bay (brrrrrrrrr)...
