"Too many incidents none are isolated
Each coincidence is closely related"
-Mighty Mighty Bosstones "Numbered Days"

It's about time to go in to work, but I need to update a few things on here...

I'm heading back to Nashville this weekend. Should be a good time. It'll be very nice to be home for Christmas. And a note to self -- bring warm clothes. And a hat. I about froze my last time back up there. Tampa has spoiled me something fierce to cold weather.

My fantasy football team is in the league championship game this year for the first time since 1997. The excitement level is high for that. My opponent (Jon Gardiner) has an excellent team, so it should be a great game. He's never won a championship, so obviously his motivation level is high (as is mine in wanting to add a second trophy to my team page).

It was a fun time this weekend with Adam and Amanda in town from Orlando. George Carlin was hilarious on Saturday night. He has an amazing delivery and sense of timing. His routine about why you should leave the scene of a car wreck is one of the funniest bits I've heard in a long long time. Highly recommended.

Adam and Amanda also enjoyed the Columbia Restaurant experience on Saturday night. Their filet mignon is AMAZING. Delicious stuff, for sure. And the sangria is mighty fine as well.

The Dolphins/Raiders game was great on Sunday. Inexplicably my friend Gary Graham ended up with an extra ticket because a friend backed out last minute style. I tried like hell to find someone to go, but the short notice made it tough. Besides, there really wasn't room in the van for another person.

Another note to self -- you can get sunburned at a game in Miami in mid-December. Wear sunscreen!

It should be a fun end run to 2002. Nashville for Christmas, then Daytona Beach for New Year's Eve. Should be a great time...
