Well, it has finally happened. Tampa Bay finally has a full market Spanish FM station.
Following its broadcast of the NASCAR Indianapolis Brickyard 400, 92.5 WYUU (known as Outlaw Country 92.5) flipped formats to Spanish Tropical as La Nueva 92.5. Now I knew this flip was going to happen (don't ask me how, it's radio), but I didn't know when it would happen. So I'd been rolling tape on 92.5 for most of last week around 5 PM, thinking it might happen then. When that didn't happen, I thought it might take place after the broadcast of the NASCAR race. And, what do you know, that time I was right.
