Payout Dreams

Sunday
August 29, 2004

I had a dream last night that I bought a lottery ticket that paid off for $1.5 million. However, the store I purchased it at was run by the rudest people I'd ever encountered in a convienance store setting; they didn't know that I had the winning ticket (somehow I knew right away that I had the winner, which isn't how it works with the big lottos, but it was a dream so bear with me). I had misplaced my luggage, but I didn't care, since I had a $1.5 million payday in my hands.

Then I woke up. That sucked.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have announced plans to launch a 24-hour all-Buccaneers television channel. It will begin in 2005 and be exclusive to Bright House (formerly Time Warner) in the Tampa Bay and Orlando areas. Hey Bright House: how about you add the NFL Network and quit making E! split time with C-Span 2 before you start fiddling with these specialty channels? Seriously, in the year 2004, with the myriad of channels available, here in Tampa we have E! Entertainment Television available only half the day. I find it impossibly frustrating. It makes me want to jump to DirecTV, where I can get the NFL Sunday Ticket package...

If any of you play Madden 2005 online, look for me there. I'm on under the name LoadedLou (no spaces); while playing a random stranger can be fun, it's more fun to take on people I know...
