Over And Over

One of the great things about changing my site from .html code to .shtml code is that it allowed me to add server-side includes. I'll spare you the details, since you probably either know about it or, more likely, have no idea and would be bored by it. But long story short, it allows me to make one change and update the little side menu bars versus having to make 600 changes (or however many it is) for all of my various pages. The downside is that this process began months ago, but Google has yet to figure out that the old .html pages (which are gone) have disappeared and that the .shtml pages are there. So when someone does a search for something that they should find on a page from two years ago, instead it's not there (and it kicks them to my main page, since I have it set to that as the default setting for my webpage). But that's how it goes with change, I suppose.

The Bubba soundbytes from yesterday's Suncoast Tiger Bay Club Candidate Forum are now up here. I can tell you that what I've heard from people who work for the Pinellas sheriff's department who've contacted us on the downlow, it's entirely true that they face severe punishment and possible job loss for helping or supporting a candidate besides Jim Coats. This is the sort of reason why Bubba is running in the first place, to end this sort of monarchial style chokehold that the "Good Old Boys Network" has in place now. Let the hard working men and women of the Pinellas County sheriff's department have a chance to earn their way to the top fairly, I say.

I borrowed the movie Monster from my friend Stacey Luckey at work, which I plan to watch tonight (she's about to move to Atlanta, so I have to watch it pronto). I've heard good things about it, and I look forward to checking it out...
