Rainy Season

Wednesday
August 6, 2003

The big trip to Las Vegas is a little more than two weeks away. It's something I booked many months ago, and while cash flow is tight these days the trip is already paid for. The feedback from everyone I've talked with about the trip has been overwhelmingly positive, and I can't wait to experience it for myself.

Things on the work front are looking better and better. I can't talk about what stations or markets we're targeting, but we're closing in on quite a few situations. It's a very exciting thing to be a part of, I can assure you.

Jiffy Lube
A quick and easy oil change.

I've been having frustrations trying to get signed up with the Google AdSense program. Trying to expand advertising options has been difficult with the pages on this "personal website", which is why some of the high-traffic pages (like the NFL Draft and Radio Hot Talk sites) are now on their own domain. But even that has been difficult as far as lining up advertising partners and what not.

My Dodge Neon needed an oil change bad, so I stopped by the Jiffy Lube just down the road from the station during lunch today. I was amazed with how fast the service was. Also unusual was that they had me drive the car up onto the work area (and then directly out after the fact). This particular Jiffy Lube location is one where real estate is very limited, so I don't know if it's a store policy change or a necessity of circumstance. Anyone else know?
